About Dafran Inc.
Dafran Inc. was established in 2003 by Dave and Frances Stuart in order to
provide an Sofware presence in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and are currently a
Microsoft Partner. We have recently qualified for Microsoft Silver Partner status!
Dave is the president of Dafran Inc. has been in the software development
industry since 1992 in Canada when he produced solutions using Microsoft Access for
several businesses before moving back to the UK in 1996. Dave developed SAS
solutions for the UK government and was involved in the guns amnesty project in
1996, but then turned to the banking industry where he eventually stayed until
2003. After spending a couple of years in London's financial district he became heavily involved in
the Bank of Scotland integration with the Halifax Building Society (HBOS),
before moving back to Canada in 2003.
Dave is a Microsoft Access Guru since 1992 and still continues to produce
MS Access solutions for many of his clients. He is considered one of the best MS Access/VBA
developers anywhere, which has been the foundation of his IT background since the
Dave joined Shell Canada in 2003 at their head office in Calgary as a senior
developer in the downstream marketing division. Dave gained valuable experience
with Point Of Sale (POS) systems and helped develop a national gas price
regulating system which integrated with Royal Dutch Shell's world wide database.

In 2007 Dave left Shell Canada as Royal Dutch Shell bought out Shell Canada and
brought sweeping changes. He moved on to Nexen where he produced software for a
Time Tracking System and then in 2008 Dave joined Con-Force, a leader in the
concrete business. At Con-Force Dave assembled a team of 6 developers and helped
produce a world class Time tracking system, from touch screen employee time
tracking to SAP job cost and payroll integration. This system was rolled out to
several locations across Canada.
Dave has also gained valuable experience with SharePoint and MVC over the last few years
as he continues to grow Dafran's business in this ever competitive IT market. Dafran's
portfolio has grown 30 fold since the early days as Dave continues to attract new clients
and manage the talented team of developers.

Frances gained her first Microsoft Certification in 2001 while working in the UK
for Acadia Systems as the executive assistant. Frances also gained experience
with the hardware side of the business and was involved with building and
troubleshooting hardware solutions. Currently, Frances is the CFO and vice president at Dafran Inc.
She also works on-site from time-to-time helping companies organise their electrical inspections in SharePoint
with custom solutions provided by Dafran Inc.
Dafran Inc is a combination of Dave and Frances.
Frances gained her status as Microsoft Certified Application
Specialist in Microsoft Access 2007 and is working towards the full suite of
Micosoft Certifications in this area, including SharePoint Services.
